First off shout out to the homie Miguel for sending me this album, he really wanted me to hear it and I’m glad he made sure of that. I looked at the track list and the first thing I noticed was “Still Down foe My Thang” featuring Jae Mez and Layzie Bone. It was a 2017 homage payer to the classic Bone Thugs-Down Foe My Thang track off their 1994 Creepin on ah Come Up EP. I love the fact that he didn’t just do a remake he went and made sure one of the cats from the OG song was on there.

C-Ray’s style has wide range, of course being a part of Brainsick he has that extremely fast delivery but he can switch it up to fit on any track, he uses harmony, and is an overall damn good lyricist. You have to be when you are in a group with cats like King ISO and Twisted Insane. I’m loving at least 85-90% of the album with only a few tracks that I was not feeling.

Stay Down was another one I had to check out right way because it featured the homie C-Mob and Twisted Insane. On tyop of being a dope emcee, C-Ray is also a dope producer as he produced all of the tracks himself. His sound can’t really be compared to anyone. I know one thing for sure is after hearing this I wanna check for whatever else he drops in the future. Real solid project at a time when wack music is running wild. Glad cats like C-Ray still exist!
