I fuckin’ love this album! I have seen this project grow from the beginning, heard various tracks along the way, but when I heard the finished project all together, it blew me away. First off the Dead Click is a group that includes Scratch LDP and D-Payne from the United States and Detag from the Netherlands. All 3 emcees have a wide range of flows and styles and all three got that rapid fire delivery to where they can hold their own with anyone. I put’em all right up there with the best choppers in the game!

The content is a roller coaster ride of dark subject matter to feel good music to murder shit! It starts off with War and Drive-by Music which is about as hard as it gets, then it goes into my favorite song To The Grave which is about struggling to keep your head above water while surviving the streets. Then they switch up the vibe with Outta Yo Mind which reminds me of something you woulda heard the Dogg Pound do, it has that authentic G-Funk sound. Then of course you got the UGS Cypher featuring Ya Boy Slow Mo, Xit Only, Sleepwalkas, and Chico Slim. Keep A Secret has a totally different vibe, I’ve never heard anything like it, some funk, dope piano, just some goddamn good music! On Cut’em Out they slaughter these new age rappers by showing them what being lyrical as fuck is all about!

To create a classic you have to have all of the ingredients and the Dead click has it! The production is phenomenal! Detag successfully gave you tracks that embodied G-Funk, Horrorcore, and a Hard Street sound all while making every track on the album flow together. Once again this is a free album, a free album! I hope they do physical copies, I would like to see this pressed up. As of now it is the dopest project I heard in 2017 and it’s gonna take a helluva album to pass this one up! Do yourself a favor and down load this immediately!

Instant classics are very rare in today’s hip hop, however the newest trio to hit the scene, The Dead Click has just released a timeless classic.
Livin Dead Production/UGS4LIFE duo Scratch LDP and D-Payne team up with one of the newest members of the UGS4LIFE family, artist and producer Detag.
The chemistry between the three members is evident early on this album. Trading bars on the opening track War!. The track sets the tone early and also sets the bar high as far as expectations go for what is to come on the rest of the album. The following track “Drive-By Music” lives up to those expectations with the group bringing their A Game on a Detag beat reminiscent of 90’s era horrorcore. Scratch LDP spits a verse that gave me flashbacks of Bone Thugs N Harmony or Do or Die.
“To The Grave” is a personal favorite of mine. Detag brings a 90’s west coast influenced beat on this one reminding me of Dr Dre or Daz Dillinger. The trio trade bars reflecting on their personal struggles. D-Payne provides one of the dopest hooks I’ve heard on this.
“Outta Yo Mind” is another stand out track with Detag bringing another West Coast influenced beat and kicking off the track with one of his best verses on the album.
Summertime anthem “Keep a Secret” is a perfect example of the trios perfect chemistry. D-Payne shines on this track with a powerful 16. Scratch LDP follows D-Payne with a rapid flow that any hip hop fan will appreciate. Detag shows off his ability to be able to spit and produce an instant classic.
The album is full of classic beats with flows to match. With a handful of 90s influenced tracks evident, the group recruits Ailton and Mississippi veteran/fellow UGS4Lifer; X-It Only for the banger “Eazy”, paying homage to the late Eazy-E. The Ruthless Godfather would be proud of this one, with every verse complimenting each other. X-It Only spits an A+ verse as usual, and will leave any listener fiending for more collaborations in the future.
Detag, known for his work with Ganxsta N-I-P, recruited the creator horrorcore for the albums only interlude that leads into the UGS Cypher. Joined by the Sleepwalkas, as well as L.D.P. members Ya Boy Slowmo and Chico Slim, the cypher serves as one of the best tracks on the album and shows the Dead Clicks ability to collaborate with others to make great music.
Another gem on this project is “Psycho”. Detag shows his horrorcore background and samples the first record Scratch LDP and D-Payne ever did together(Tales from the Darkside). Tracks like this and “The Have Nots”(featuring Ya Boy Slowmo) will stand the test of time and will mark the beginning of a legendary era for the group.
The lyrical skills from all 3 Dead Click members put them in a class with today’s best lyricists. All 3 members have impressive solo careers but they have struck gold as a group.
Detag as a producer entered an elite class with this project in my opinion. When thinking of classic albums, Dr. Dre’s The Chronic, The Dogg Pound’s Dogg Food and a few others come to mind and Detag has entered that conversation with this album. The group as a whole stands up to their influences. Do or Die, Three 6 Mafia, Above The Law, and Bone Thugs N Harmony are all heard in the Dead Click’s style but Dead Click will stand with those groups in the history books. Detag is rivaled by no one on the boards and should be mentioned among the greatest producers ever. His ability to capture the sound of the golden era of hip hop is a testament to his ability. Providing several hit worthy tracks and a handful of anthems excel Detag from being an up and coming producer to being the best in the game. He is a once in a lifetime talent that is only getting started. – Pittsburgh Pat
